Not sure where to start? Let’s walk through it together.
What should I expect on my first appointment?
Your first appointment is a chance for us to get to know you. You’ll meet with your provider to discuss what’s bringing you in, your history, and your goals for care. For therapy, this includes understanding your current concerns and what support might feel most helpful. For medication management, your provider will complete a comprehensive assessment and discuss treatment options. There is no pressure to share everything at once—this visit is about creating a plan together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Can I choose my medication plan?
Yes—medication decisions are collaborative. Your provider will offer clinical recommendations based on your symptoms, history, and evidence-based care, but your preferences, concerns, and experiences matter. We believe the best outcomes happen when treatment decisions are made together, with transparency and ongoing check-ins to see what’s working and what’s not.
Do you take medication requests?
We’re always open to discussing your questions or past experiences with medications. However, we do not prescribe medications solely by request. All prescriptions are based on a thorough clinical evaluation, medical appropriateness, and safety considerations. Your provider will take time to explain options and reasoning so you feel informed and involved in the process.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept many major insurance plans and are happy to help verify your benefits before scheduling. Coverage can vary by provider and service, so our administrative team will review your insurance, explain expected costs, and answer questions before your first visit whenever possible. If we don’t accept your plan, we’ll let you know upfront and discuss self-pay options if applicable.
Why can’t I contact my provider directly?
To protect provider boundaries, clinical focus, and timely care for all clients, communication is coordinated through our administrative team. This ensures messages are handled appropriately, routed correctly, and documented when needed. Our staff can assist with scheduling, medication refills, pharmacy coordination, and urgent questions, and will involve your provider when clinically necessary.
