TRAUMA INFORMED Person-Centered Therapy  for Children, Teens, Adults & Families

Sara Kroll, LPC-A, began working in the mental health field in 2025 after earning her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sacred Heart University. She works with children, teens, and adults seeking support, clarity, and healing. Sara brings a warm, engaged, and relational presence to therapy and strives to create an environment where clients feel respected, understood, and supported.

Sara has experience working with children, teens, adults, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and individuals navigating autism. Her clinical interests include trauma, PTSD, neurodivergence, emotional regulation, and life transitions. She takes a holistic, person-centered approach, recognizing that each person’s story, strengths, and goals are unique.

Her work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Gestalt techniques, and DBT-informed practices. Sara has facilitated anger management and intensive outpatient groups in a substance and alcohol use treatment setting, and co-facilitated teen IOP at a Parent and Child Resource outpatient program. These experiences inform her understanding of behavioral patterns, emotional regulation, and the process of recovery and change.

Sara’s style is warm, direct, and collaborative. She works alongside clients to explore patterns, build coping skills, and develop practical tools that support lasting growth. Her goal is for clients to leave sessions with greater clarity, increased self-understanding, and a sense of steadiness moving forward.

As an adoptee, Sara brings personal understanding to themes of identity, grief and loss, love, longing, and the complex emotional experiences that can exist within adoptive families. She deeply respects the many layers of the adoptive family journey and welcomes those experiences into the therapeutic space.

Originally from Alaska, Sara finds grounding in the outdoors. She values time with her daughters above all and enjoys skiing, hiking, fly-fishing, and sharing laughter and connection with family and friends.
